Our approach to content
We do not publish to generate content; rather, we publish to clarify and communicate our thinking.
Most consultancy content focuses on explaining frameworks. Whilst we will sometimes do this, we only do so to help clarify where a framework can add value. Our core concentration is on explaining where a framework may fail in practice and where it may succeed. We do this in service of providing value to those who read our content whether or not they are clients.
What we prioritise
We prioritise the following:
Real operating experience over theory
Trade-offs over best practice
Systems over individual behaviour
Outcomes over activity
What we avoid
We actively seek to avoid the following:
Repackaging common frameworks without context
AI-generated content without editorial judgement
Advice that cannot be executed in a real organisation
Commercial Alignment
We publish content that reflects how we work.
If a piece of content contradicts how we would advise a client, it does not get published.
Attribution
Where ideas are influenced by others, we reference them.
Where they are based on direct experience, we say so.
What you will not find here
You will not find:
Generic statements about excellence
Boilerplate policies
Commitments without underpinning mechanisms
If something cannot be observed in practice it is simply not included.
