About Us
Closing the Gap Between Strategy and Execution
Strategic Flow was founded on a simple observation: Most strategies and transformations fail not because of a lack of intent, but because they are choked by rigid blueprints or lack of execution capability. We exist to help senior leaders reclaim clarity and accelerate aligned execution.
What we do
1. We organisations design robust fit-for-purpose strategy
Not by writing a few PowerPoint slides and then leaving you to execute…
By working with you to co-create situational awareness of the Social, Technological, Economic, Environment, Political, Legal, and Ethical landscapes within which you operate using modern business tools built for the 21st Century, not the 18th!
2. We help leadership teams turn strategy into execution
Not by adding more processes that provide only a momentary sense of achievement…
By fixing the system that determines how strategy actually flows through to execution.
The problems we solve
Strategy lacks clarity, agreement, or structural definition
It fails to land because:
On the face of it everyone agrees, but below the surface assumptions sit unresolved
Communication lacks clarity, leading to managers and others to fill in the blanks, usually incorrectly
Unexpected events (so called Black Swans) consume execution capacity
New pressures keep arriving from the Board to do new things faster (e.g. “do more AI”), straining the system and causing yet more confusion
Three months in, nothing seems to have changed.
Most organisations do not struggle because of strategy.
They struggle because:
Everything is a priority
Work starts faster than it finishes
Decisions are delayed by dependency
AI increases activity without improving outcomes
Execution becomes busy, not effective.
Strategic Flow
/strəˈtiːdʒɪk floʊ/ noun
The continuous movement from strategic intent to real-world results, making strategy actionable and enabling the consistent delivery of tangible outcomes.
The disciplined alignment of an organisation’s strategy (“the what”) with its execution (“the how”), to ensure clear alignment between processes, effective resource allocation, and sound decision-making to achieve goals efficiently. Strategic Flow frequently incorporates lean principles to eliminate waste and create competitive advantage through optimised workflows and focused delivery.
Discovery Always Comes First
After years of seeing organisations struggle with “off-the-shelf” agile and transformation templates, We realised that every business is a unique value stream. You cannot force-fit a blueprint onto a complex landscape.
At Strategic Flow, we insist on a rigorous discovery phase. We don’t arrive with answers; we arrive with the tools to find them, whether that is Wardley Mapping to anticipate the market, or OKRs to align your people.
A Track Record of Execution
Strategic Flow was founded by Toby Corballis to close the gap between strategy and execution; to create consistent flow. With a track record of over 25 years, Toby has helped organisations from electric vehicle pioneers to global financial institutions, obtain results faster, with clarity and confidence.

How we work
Every organisation is unique. There is no homogeneous framework that can be magically dropped into every business. To really connect strategic intention to execution requires an in-depth understanding of where the organisation is on its journey then brining the right tools to bear, in the right way, to ensure the right results.
Discovery First
You wouldn’t want a surgeon to operate without first understanding the problem(s) they were addressing. This is true also for organisational change. That’s why we start every engagement with a tailored period of discovery.
The Right Tools
The output of the discovery is an artefact we can jointly use to plan the next steps. Because no two businesses are the same, the solution will depend on what we find, how quickly you want to move, and what the agreed endpoint is.
Measurable Results
Once Discovery is done, the next step is to instrument the business for change. This allows you to see the real economic value of changes introduced in near real time.
No Theatre
Too many consultancies deliver “Change Theatre”. It looks good but it doesn’t delivery what the client needs. We steer clear of theatre using only modern techniques that bring genuine, measurable, results.
Bench Strength and Collaboration
If Strategic clarity were simply, it would be standard. To ensure depth of expertise and scale, we frequently collaborate with partners in our extensive network to ensure we deliver the highest quality specialised workshops, executive training, coaching, and transformation initiatives. Below is a small selection of others with whom we collaborate.
Mike Horwath
We collaborate with Mike to provide deeper scale for complex organisational transformations. By combining our strategic execution frameworks with Mike’s expertise in OKR implementation and Agile ways of working, we help larger teams navigate change with clarity and momentum.
Outcome Vectors
Outcome Vectors are experts at team facilitation and coaching, perfectly complementing our ability when delivering workshops, coaching, and team training. They bring deep expertise in OKRs, agile and associated transformation activities that complement the strategic work we do with clients.
